
Sarah Zevalkink is a strategic HR leader who helps organizations strengthen alignment, elevate culture, and create workplaces where people can thrive. With more than a decade of experience across nonprofit, public-facing, and mission-driven organizations, she brings deep expertise in organizational design, leadership coaching, change management, and building scalable HR infrastructure. Her approach blends business strategy with human-centered practices, helping leaders navigate complexity with clarity and compassion.
Sarah has transformed people operations at institutions such as the Grand Rapids Downtown Market, John Ball Zoo, and Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. She is known for designing strong HR foundations from the ground up, improving communication and accountability systems, and guiding executive teams through cultural realignment and growth. A trusted advisor, she brings the right balance of strategic insight and operational discipline to every partnership.
Sarah holds an undergraduate degree from Ferris State University and a master’s degree in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University. She is an alumna of Leadership Grand Rapids (Class of 2025), serves on the board of the Human Resources Group of West Michigan, and is a certified Predictive Index Practitioner. Outside of work, she enjoys community involvement, creative pursuits, and time spent with her family.
